This map portrays the major Chinese investment and economic relations in the Philippines from 1965-2019. Chinese owned industries have spread to several cities, especially Manila. There are three major rivers and four mining zones, which positively affect the methods of transportation and gathering of resources to trade with Japan. This map also shows the Philippine-Japan Friendship Highway, which allows a direct path from the top of the Philippines to the bottom, impacting the Filipino’s lifestyle and relations with Japan. The mountains in the North create obstacles that make trading more difficult, however, the relationship between the two countries has vastly improved since World War II.
